My Bosom, My Self: The Lipstick Laws by Amy Holder

The Lipstick LawsThe Lipstick Laws by Amy Holder

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

The Lipstick Laws had its moments, thanks to Amy Holder's sense of humor, but overall, the story is unoriginal and most of the characters, including the protagonist, April, seem more like caricatures of "teenagers" from 80's movies than real people. Also, a lot of the humorous exchanges between characters and silly details seem like they're thrown in to hide the fact that there isn't much of a plot here.

A more accurate title for this book would be: My Addiction to Bra Stuffing.
