Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards Semi-Finalists TBA Next Tuesday

I received an email from the CreateSpace team reminding me that the semi-finalists for ABNA will be announced on April 26. A few days after that, everyone who didn't make the cut will be wiped from the site, so we're supposed to save our reviews now if we want to keep them. Isn't that nice? I'm keeping a good thought for Keeper, but in case it doesn't make the cut, I'd like to ask that anyone who hasn't rated it, please do so here ASAP.

I think the excerpt is well rendered. The book really reminds me more of a typical chick lit book then one aimed at young adults despite the young central figure. I just don't really have a good enough sense of where the rest of the story is headed to have much of an overall opinion.

I thought that this excerpt was good and would appeal to "young" readers. I think that this story has everything that a young girl, who is a freshman in college will resignate to most readers, especially a female. I remember my friends or myself dealing with similar issues at that age. First love, first heartbreak, parental relationships, and dealing with how to handle expectations. I wanted to read a little more and think that this excerpt would sale.
