More adventures in revising

First, an update on the gnome. I haven't seen him near my writing area, so I think he has gone back to work for Orbitz. Either that, or he's the one leaving mystery puddles by the toilet instead of my husband. Hmm.

Second, the important stuff. My poor little revised manuscript seems to be suffering from stunted growth. I'm not sure what to do. I chip away at it and work for at least 45 minutes at a time, and I'll net about 375 new words. Ugh. It's so sad. I go in to beef up a section, and find something I hate. So, I'll add two pages of brilliant material, but in the end, I'm only adding a page or so overall. It sucks.

Signs on the toilet doorMaybe my manuscript is malnurished. I don't remember doing anything you're not supposed to do. I didn't let it drink coffee in the early weeks. Should I have played Mozart instead of The Indigo Girls and The National? Where did we go wrong? And why do I have that song from Little Shop of Horrors stuck in my head?

Feed me, Seymour! Feed me aaaaaal niiiight loooong!
