The Sky Is EverywhereThe Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is such a beautiful story, it's crazy. Lennie Walker is devastated by the sudden death of her sister, Bailey, and feels isolated thinking nobody understands her grief. She's sure her grief isn't understandable since she has been obsessed with sex since the funeral and is sure that this isn't the way "normal people mourn." Without her dramatic and glamorous sister around all the time, Lennie comes into her own and realizes that just because she was walking beside someone who cast a long shadow doesn't mean she isn't amazing on her own. She discovers her talents, beauty and embraces the love and life around her.
