I'm a bit late to the party with my review of Nathan Hill's Wellness, but since election season has us all questioning our ability to handle life stressors, it seemed appropriate to say a few words about this novel. It's now available in paperback. At a whopping 600 plus words, it's an excellent option if you want to hide from people and read for a week.

Review: The Most

Jessica Anthony's most recent novella stands out among the small and mighty books this year. I know some of us love a fat book, but I get so much satisfaction from knocking a novel out in a sitting or two. Also, this story is so compelling, you won't want to put it down. It's set in the 1950s in Delaware. How vanilla, right? The thing is, just beneath the surface, nothing is quite right with the family we learn more about as a power struggle unfolds in the apartment complex pool.
