Review: Running Blind by Lee Child

Running Blind (Jack Reacher, #4)Running Blind by Lee Child

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jack Reacher novels are always good fun, and Running Blind has a Silence of the Lambs feel to it, complete with a few trips to Quantico and a serial killer. The twist at the end seems a bit far-fetched to me, but I'm all about the journey when it comes to reading, so who cares?

In this installment of the Jack Reacher series, Reacher has inherited a house from an old Army buddy who recently passed away. He's also involved with Jodie, said Army buddy's daughter. All is well until Reacher steps in to protect his new favorite Italian eatery from a racketeering ring. After he beats up a few thugs, he finds himself under the watchful eye of a couple of cranky FBI agents who are positive that he's responsible for the murders of several women. Reacher needs to prove his innocence, find the killer, save some women, and decide whether or not he will ever be able to hack it as an ordinary guy with a house, a car, and a steady girlfriend.
