Mixed media moment of Zen
It's official: I'm having one of those weeks where nothing I write seems right, and I'm convinced that I'll never nail this [explicative deleted] novel! I've been flipping through New England Knits and thinking about all the productive hours I could spend creating a Bayberry Pullover with Tangerine buttons (not an actual pattern from the book). I could continue planning my garden. I could go outside and plant things. It's raining, but why not? So I'd get a little muddy. Who's looking anyway? Nobody!
Okay, now that I have that out of the way, I've found a couple of pieces of inspiration, and I thought I'd share them, so here goes:
- An interview with Judy Blume from Cynthia Leitch Smith's blog
- When You Get Bad Reviews, Eat Chocolate by Lisa Schroeder
- A review of The No Asshole Rule and tips for dealing with assholes
- Ooh! I almost forgot How to Tell a Story by Margo Rabb from Zoetrope
A little Mark Twain:
When angry count four; when very angry, swear.- Pudd'nhead Wilson's Calendar
