Now a Quarter Finalist for ABNAs

So, I took a deep breath and clicked on Amazon's Breakout Novel Awards page today to see if my manuscript was selected as one of 250 quarter finalists in the Young Adult category, and it was! I didn't think I would even make first cut, so this is much farther than I thought I would get. The last professional who reviewed my manuscript claimed that the idea itself would be a flat-out "no go" for YA because it's set in college. Who knew?

I was also pleased to see that at this stage of the contest, Publishers Weekly will provide at least some feedback on the manuscripts they review. So, even if I don't make it to the next cut, at least I'll have more to go on than I started with. Now I need to get back on track with my writing schedule :-/
